Alternative Overhang – Less Expensive, Less Headaches

This option keeps the exposed rafter tails on the front porch, section on the study wall that has the native stone and the rear covered porch, as shown below, but the bulk of the overhang is a traditional style cornish with a facia board and soffit underneath. Framming carpenters are more accustom to this type of cornish. There will be less labor involved with this method and the home will still look great.
