Renewable Energy can reduce or eliminate your electric bill forever. Wind Turbine Power Generators come in lots of different sizes and shapes, and they work if your property meets certain criteria as follows:
  • At least 10 MPH average wind speed (best results at 11 MPH or more)
  • Property is greater than 1 acre and is unobstructed
  • Tower Height: 50′ Minimum, 60′ or greater recommended (depending on site conditions and wind class) wind speed increases with taller towers
  • Please call the zoning department for your city! 95% of residential installations are out side the city limits.
  • Local utility must have an existing interconnection agreement
“Texas holds the distinction of being home to the two largest wind farms in the word (as of November 2010). And the capital of the great state of Texas is Austin – the greenest city in the entire world.” – Green Host It

On February 17, 2009 President Obama signed the American Recovery and Re-investment Act of 2009 into law. With a significant emphasis on renewable energy technology deployment and job expansion, the bill improved upon the 2008 tax credit, by removing “cost caps.” This change allows consumers and small businesses to take a 30% tax credit off the installed cost of a wind turbine. To a consumer or business purchasing a single residential wind turbine, it will double their credit. Additionally, businesses will also have the option of receiving their credit in the form of a cash grant. Learn more about “Renewable Energy Budgeting“.

Texas Tiny Homes is currently talking with several Wind Turbine Companies about becoming a distributor for their products. We will have more on pricing and installation on turbines as as well as solar panels at a later date.
